The GLB Dual Control Shock and Algaecide is a Multipurpose product that will help shock the water, while treating annoying algae buildups. Improve the water clarity using this unique shock formula mixed with a powerful algaecide that combines chlorinating compounds and chelated copper for effective removal of black, green and yellow algae. Directions for Use 

  1. Adjust the pool water pH into the range of 7.2-7.8 and the total water alkalinity range into 100-150 ppm as determined by a suitable test kit.
  2. To control algae, distribute 3 pounds over the water's surface for each 20,000 gallons of pool water. This will raise the pool water's chlorine residual to 4 ppm for immediate anti-algae shock treatment and 1 ppm of chelated copper sulfate for extended relief.
  3. If algae persists, repeat dosage. Unlike many other algaecides, this product will not combine with and neutralize chlorine residuals already in the pool. This means that GLB Dual Control Shock and Algaecide and chlorine in your pool will work together rather than destroying each other. In addition, GLB Dual Control Shock and Algaecide is buffered so it will not upset the pH balance of your pool.
